Red Bull Amaphiko

Get ready for a wild ride through the 2017 Red Bull Amaphiko Academy in Baltimore! This was no ordinary project for me, as the Creative Director of The Creative Labs, and it was a total game-changer for the city. It was all about shining a spotlight on the social innovators who are making a real difference in the Baltimore community.

Transforming the Eubie Blake Center for the 10 day course was no small feat. But, with my team of creative geniuses and a whole lot of Red Bull, we made it happen. We crafted custom fabrics, brought in dozens of commissioned paintings, and designed a funky upcycled furniture set-up that had everyone talking. Not to mention the backdrop for the speaker series came from our shop. 

Our crew also helped to put together a weekend-long block party that was the talk of the town. It featured an art show by legendary photographer Martha Cooper and an amazing cultural exchange with Brazilian street artist Mundano. This project was truly a work of art and I couldn't be prouder of what my team accomplished.
