Series-A 'Art Bonds'

The Series-A fundraising campaign was initiated to secure capital for the Section-1 Art Park project. The event involved prominent artists, such as Logan Hicks and Michael Owen, creating money-themed artworks, called “Art Bond,” that were auctioned off through Paddle8. The campaign was successful, raising over $20,000 in sales which was matched by a local philanthropist, resulting in a total of $40,000. These funds were utilized for conducting site studies to assess the level of remediation required to convert the site into an urban art park. A promotional video was also produced to showcase the creative talent in Baltimore and to increase awareness of the project. The video features prominent figures in the Baltimore art scene, including actor Lawrence Gillard Jr, and musicians TTtheArtist, DDM, and others.
